Was born June, 22, 1952 in Savintsy, Kharkiv Region (Ukraine). Graduated from Kharkov State University in 1974.
Post-graduate Study in Kharkov State University, 1974-1977.
PhD Phys & Math, ILTPE, 1984. Thesis: "Nonlinear self-localized excitations in one-dimensional crystals".
DSc Phys & Math , ILTPE, 2002. Thesis: "The Nonlinear resonance phenomena and dynamics of solitons in low-dimensional systems with dispersion".
Has been working at B.Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (ILTPE) as a junior researcher from 1978 to 1986, as a researcher from 1986 to 1991, then as a senior researcher from 1991 to 2004. Since 2004 is a leading researcher of ILTPE.
Since 2006 is a professor of the department of theoretical physics V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University concurrently.
In 2008 was awarded by the Diploma of Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Was in charge of co-executor of many international projects.
Since 2007 is the Member of the Council, and from 2010 to the present is the Scientific Secretary of the Specialized Scientific Council D 64.175.02 at the B.Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Member of the editorial board of the journal “Low Temperature Physics” 2016.
Hasm more than 100 publications.
Scientific interests: The theory of nonlinear phenomena in condensed matter physics based on the soliton concept and its applications for description of nonlinear effects in solids.
